RMSHOT PROTECT protective vest concepts under development

RMSHOT PROTECT is actively developing new concepts in ballistic and knife-resistant protective clothing. Our work explores technical materials, flexible protection systems, ergonomics and evolving designs, with the aim of combining protection, mobility and comfort. The concepts shown are under development and may change.

BALLISTIC & KNIFE PROTECTION

Exploring new approaches to personal protective equipment

At RMSHOT PROTECT, our work extends beyond the products currently available in our catalogue.

We are actively developing several concepts in personal protection, focusing on two distinct areas: ballistic protection and protection against edged weapons.

Our aim is to explore the balance between protective performance, technical materials, ergonomics and everyday comfort.

Different technologies. Evolving designs. One shared commitment to functional protection.

01 — TWO AREAS OF PROTECTION, ONE APPROACH

Ballistic protection and knife protection involve different threats, materials and design requirements.

Rather than applying a single construction to every project, we are investigating several technical solutions and design directions. The common objective is to combine protection, functionality, mobility and comfort.

02 — KNIFE PROTECTION: FLEXIBILITY AND RESISTANCE

One area of our development work concerns protective clothing intended to address threats from edged weapons.

We are exploring solutions designed to offer resistance to both cutting and pointed-blade penetration while maintaining a construction that is as thin, flexible and comfortable as practical.

These are different types of threats and require separate technical assessments.

Our design research also draws inspiration from contemporary sportswear, with close attention to ergonomic cuts, discreet styling and freedom of movement.

DESIGN OBJECTIVES

Resistance. Flexibility. Discretion. Comfort.

The protective capabilities of any future garment will need to be established through appropriate testing.

03 — BALLISTIC PROTECTION: MATERIALS AND CONSTRUCTION

In parallel, RMSHOT PROTECT is investigating different ballistic protective vest concepts, including designs incorporating protective panels, technical fabrics and adjustable support systems.

According to the evaluations carried out as part of the project, certain plates resisted .44 Magnum impacts without penetration. These observations relate to the plates and test conditions concerned; they do not constitute certification or establish the performance of a complete vest.

We are also examining materials such as ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE), including flexible configurations, to explore their potential integration into protective equipment.

Our development work considers the positioning of protective components, fit, stability and freedom of movement.

PROTECTIVE COMPONENTS

Exploring different materials and protective configurations.

ERGONOMIC DESIGN

Studying fit, stability and mobility as part of the overall construction.

04 — MULTIPLE DESIGNS, EVOLVING CONCEPTS

Our research is not limited to one visual identity. Some concepts feature structured, understated designs in black or olive green, while others explore more fitted silhouettes inspired by technical sportswear.

The photographs and visual concepts shown represent development directions rather than confirmed final products.

Materials, construction details, fastening systems and appearance may evolve as the projects progress.

05 — MATERIALS AT THE HEART OF DEVELOPMENT

Protective equipment cannot be assessed by appearance alone. Material selection, assembly methods, weight, thickness, flexibility and durability all influence the final design.

We are investigating different material combinations and construction methods to understand how they may be integrated into future equipment.

This process involves successive evaluations, adjustments and design decisions.

06 — DEVELOPMENT IS AN ONGOING PROCESS

Our ballistic and knife-protection projects remain under development. Several concepts are being explored in parallel, and some may be revised or replaced as our work progresses.

We are not announcing a final product, launch date or unverified protective performance at this stage.

Instead, we want to share the direction of our research and offer an insight into the projects taking shape at RMSHOT PROTECT.
